First off, I'd like to apologize for being away for the last few days. I've been dealing with some family matters that have kept me away from the keyboard. The short version is that our family cat is very old and sick, and we're pretty sure his time with us is coming to an end, so my focus has been there.

Despite that, I did want to share a new tool I've added to the HiveTools suite, as it was a direct community request.

The Problem: Found the Master, Lost the Keys

Have you ever been in that frustrating situation where you've found your master password but can't, for the life of you, find the file with your individual keys? It's a specific problem, but a very real one.

Today's tool was built for exactly that scenario. Introducing the new Hive Key Recovery tool.

How It Works (and Why It's Safe)

The tool is designed for one simple, convenient purpose: to regenerate your Hive keys from a known master password.

• Its Function: It takes your Hive account name and your master password and mathematically derives your owner, active, posting, and memo keys.
• It's Secure: Crucially, this entire process happens locally in your browser. Your master password is never sent over the internet, and nothing is stored. It's a completely client-side tool designed for your peace of mind.
• It's for Regeneration, Not Validation: The tool doesn't check if the password is correct for the account; it simply performs the derivation. You can even use it to see what your keys would be if you were planning to change your master password.

This was built purely as a tool of convenience to help people in a very specific bind. I hope it proves useful.
